Biography
Hi! My name is Kylie Klein. I am originally from Mona, Utah, although presently I live in the beautiful city of Salt Lake. I have a Bachelors Degree in English and History and half of an MBA from Westmister College. I decided to put school on hold for a year to write a Young Adult novel. Thus, The Amazing Adventures of Mason Montgomery came to be!
I work full-time as flight attendant, I am member of the Utah League of Writers and the Utah Historical Society. I also sponsor the yearly "Kylie Klein Writing Competition." In my spare time I am diligently working on the follow up to the Mason Montgomery book (there will be six books in all!)
I enjoy working with youth groups. When I'm in Salt Lake I seek out opportunities to speak at young adult events (religious or educational), I judge dance, singing or other talent competitions, and I love reading and evaluating English essays or judging statewide History Fairs. My strength is editing and I never pass up opportunities to edit papers, books, resumes, Web sites...if it's got words, I want to read (and change) them! Please visit www.kylieedits.com for more information.
In my spare time I travel extensively...Venice, Paris, Florence, Milan, Machu Picchu, and the Maya ruins of Cancun and London were some of my most recent journeys. This year I am planning to visit Guatemala, Athens and Cairo. I read whenever I have the opportunity. I am currently training to climb both Mount Nebo and Mount Timpanogos in September of 2011. Wish me luck!
My motto is, "Live your dreams every day, until you dream them true," borrowed from Adam Duritz, lead singer of the Counting Crows.
